And the schedule keeps us moving ...

Monday night; volleyball game, Tuesday night; volleyball game, Wednesday night; Colin had a fire training meeting, Thursday night; Open House for High School, Friday night .... not sure, Saturday; Frisco Festival and Train Ride, Sunday; Church and cleaning the house. THIS WAS THIS WEEK.
Next week, in there we will add Soccer Practice for both Savanna and Trystin two days/week and games on Saturdays.
The kids keep us busy for sure, but we wouldn't have it any other way. Colin and I feel so blessed to have all 5 of our kiddos, we like to say we are the most blessed parents ever.

I'm finding that as life is moving on; relationships of all kinds become more difficult; people become more demanding and become to care a little less about being "told what to do." Treat others as you wan to be treated and always make sure you put yourself in their shoes!!

And the first week is finally over ...

Phewwww..... is all I can say! The kids have all had an awesome week, aside from Katilyn being the first one to miss school ALREADY on the 4th day of school due to some kind of stomach bug. Starr and I have successfully been getting up and out of the house by 6:15 - 6:20 every morning to get her and Sarah to the highschool by 6:40 for Practice. Anabel has been nicely going along with us in the morning. :)
I get to work so early that I have started walking around our lake that we have behind the offices, it's just about a mile. Very nice and a wonderful way to start the day.

This week, we were thankfully saved the busy schedule of two volleyball games plus 2 soccer practices a week. That will all start next week. WOO HOO....

Savanna brought home her schedule for REACH and the supplies that she will need; we are all excited to get that underway.

Colin's foot is not healing as fast as we had hoped; he is getting very antsy and so are the rest of us.

As I lay here in bed and type this at 10:32 on a Friday evening, I am so tired that my bones ache. I just want to close my eyes and not wake up :). The kids are "camping" out downstairs in the basement together; Starr is sleeping very soundly in her bed and the dog is enjoying being inside in the cool air. Me, I am ECSTATIC about the fact that tomorrow is Saturday and I get to sleep past 5:30 a.m.!! :)

Life is good, God is Great and we are all Blessed!

It is Finally Here ....

That's right, school is tomorrow. This is the first time in 3 months that all of the kids have been fast asleep at 10:10 p.m. It begin at 8:15, everyone is in their own beds, in their own bedrooms, new clothes laying out for the morning, teeth brushed, butterflies in their tummies. We have two 3rd graders with teachers who are brand new to the school, they are both very excited about that. Savanna starts her REACH program and she is stoked. This is Trystin's last year in elementary school, he has the same 5th grade teacher as he had for 3rd grade and Kaitlyn had for 2nd grade, Mr. Fulton, we really like him; he'll do great. Anabel is excited to be going back to Patti's full time with her at-home school program and being the only child with her again during the day; she won't shut up about it. AND THEN WE HAVE A FRESHMAN IN HIGH SCHOOL. Did you hear me, a freshman, who I believe is MORE EXCITED then all four put together. :) Although, I'm not sure if she is more excited about being a freshman or getting coffee or a slushee from the school cafeteria! :) hahaha

I got the reflection pond cleaned out, it no longer looks like a cattle grazing pond, however the outside still needs a lot of work; having Colin down for the last month and a half has really been a bummer and hard on getting things done that need to be done!

I didn't realize how much I missed having a schedule until this evening, it was great to be able to say, ok, shower, brush teeth, lay clothes out, go to bed. Having structure truly is less stressful! :) I'm excited for the kids to go to school and see their friends and have fun, not so excited about getting up at 6 a.m. ;-), although, come Tuesday it will be 5:30 a.m. as Starr has to be to VB practice by 6:40 in the morning! UGH ... I need a wonderwoman belt!!

Holy Moly

Holy Cow it's HOT outside! I can't believe how hot it is, our air conditioners are getting way too hard of a workout!
Life in the Berger household is quite insane :) We have Trystin and Savanna registered for Fall Soccer, Kaitlyn is still deciding what she would like to do, Starr is in full prep for the Volleyball Season with practice at the high school every day sometimes all day; Colin and his broken in three places ankle are doing ok, they have their moments where they don't get along; Apollo thinks it is crew and unusual punishment that he has to be outside and our outside cat that we recently found out was a boy after thinking he was a girl for over a year has decided that maybe coming inside once in a while isn't so bad in this sweltering heat! :)
School supplies have been bought but there is already a list of things that we need to get in addition too, school clothes have yet to be shopped for and the sports supplies are also on a list. :)
After reading just this paragraph I'm sure it won't surprise you to tell you that the weeds around my reflection pond make it look more like a watering hole for cattle b/c they are so high and the bushes need to be trimmed, only blessing with it being so dry is thankfully my lawn doesn't need to be mowed. :) I still have not built steps on the pool deck because I'm not quite sure how to do it and Colin hasn't made up his mind how we are going to move the hot tub.
This week I am trying to ge tall of the laundry caught up and possibly the girls' rooms cleaned and painted, but it is already Thursday and I just don't see that happening.
Just think, the next 15 years will only be busier and then I will miss it all when they are grown and gone, OR WILL I? hahahaha
